Drain Descaling
In older pipework, rust and hardened grease build up on the walls until the pipe is a fraction of the size it started as. Clearing the blockage lasts a few months; taking the walls back is what fixes it.

Sound familiar?
- It blocks every few months no matter what you do
- It's an older building — cast iron or original clay
- Water goes away slowly, and always has done
- A camera showed a rough, narrowed pipe rather than a blockage
How we do it
- 1
We look first
Is it a blockage, or a pipe that's closed up over the years?
- 2
We take the walls back
A chain head scours off what water alone can't shift.
- 3
We flush it out
So none of it settles further down and blocks that instead.

Questions we get asked
- Will it damage my old pipes?
- No. The head only takes off what's stuck to the walls. If the camera shows pipework too far gone, we'll tell you rather than do it anyway.
- How often does it need doing?
- For a house, usually once and then it's done for years. Commercial kitchens are better on a schedule.
